I have been a Weebly fan for the past year or so. But really like Synthasite. I began developing a website to showcase different Web 2.0 tools that students can use. I provided some examples but plan to have my upper elementary students add to it as we explore and use other tools - see http://weewebwonders.synthasite.com/

What a great site! I will put a special link to this on my blog tomorrow
because your amazing work deserves notice! I just tweeted it. Wow! What a
great job you've done! I'd love to know more about Synthasite. When you
have your students add to it, do they have to use their ID, or can they have
their own ID and you track it? I'd love to know more about how you did
this. Do you have a blog post?

    Vicki,
The National PTA also provides free online learning courses for all members.

The courses and descriptions are available through this url: http://www.pta.org/1449.htm

    At
a time when PTA budgets are tight and schedules are even tighter, e-learning is a solution for members looking to expand their skills cost-effectively and without the need to travel. This e-learning initiative is a step toward achieving PTA’s goal of making all members informed advocates by 2020.

    PTA Basics
    Grant Writing
    Conflict Management
    Planning and Goal Setting
    Parliamentary Procedure
    Running a Successful PTA Program
    Effective Advocacy for Your Child
    Writing and Proposing PTA Resolutions

I will send them a request about adding a podcast to their options.

    Thanks for all you do!

I noticed that you posted Twitter as a school reminder. I was wondering if you recommend it for emergency school alerts or and school related activities? Our school district is considering using Phone Broadcasting from http://www.orangepoint.net/schoolalerts.html as our alert system. Has anyone used Twitter for school alerts? If so, what is the success rate?
